Sony recognized that the limited units of its “Cyber-shot” DSC-TX5 (JE) Digital Still Cameras, released on the market in March 2010, have the lens cover part with weaker coating adhesion. On rare occasions, a large portion of the coating may be peeled off from the lens cover of those units.
If a large portion of the coating was peeled off from the lens cover of your unit due to weaker coating adhesion, Sony will offer a free repair service of the lens cover for the period shown below.
