AVCHD™ is rapidly becoming the de facto standard for high-end video production, and in FX mode, the NEX-VG10E supports it at the maximum bit-rate of 24Mbps. With superior image quality and compression efficiency, you can record approximately 3 hours*1 of 1920 x 1080 Full HD video*2 on a single 32GB card.

The body is designed for movie shooting in every detail, with a swiveling LCD monitor, a pivoting electronic viewfinder eyepiece, and jog dial controls with hotkey access to key shooting parameters. A top-mounted grab handle also provides enhanced comfort and stability on low-position shots.
Control interface
A 3.0-type/7.5cm*1 high-contrast Xtra Fine LCD monitor with TruBlack™ technology shows each scene in crisp, clear detail on its big, 921,600-dot widescreen display. In addition, a 1,152,000-dot*2 electronic viewfinder that pivots for chest-level or eye-level shooting enables easy scene composition in bright light.
Iris, gain, and shutter speed can be adjusted manually while shooting, giving you powerful creative control over how each scene looks. In video mode, gain is adjustable between 0 and + 27 dB, while shutter speed is adjustable between 1/4 and 1/4000 sec.
Extended shooting sessions are no problem with InfoLITHIUM™ battery power for up to 330 minutes* of continuous shooting, and a memory card slot that accepts a wide range of the latest high-capacity Memory Stick™ PRO Duo, Memory Stick™ PRO-HG Duo, and SD/SDHC/SDXC media.
